I have a bit of models to work on right now but since I was able to get this one for 1/2 off I just had to, anyways here is the progress. I'm gonna try and make it seem like an old daily driven car you'd see on the side of the road while going to some nice destination on your mini van with your family!

Looks great! My only complaint isn't with your work

its the model itself! Not something you can easily change tho. BUT as a 440 or well anything Mopar "Big Block, 383 to 440, the heads and the valve covers don't even look like they should for such, BUT they do come close for a "After Market" part! But then they ought to have chromed them! Only the factory ones, were "painted" and not chrome......

Luis, those headers are for the Hemi. They won't line up with the exhaust ports on the wedge.

heres a picture with some other parts, the Revell patent writing on the gas tank is bothering me a lot so i'll probably go back and take that off

Adrian is correct about the engine color. The actual color for the '68 440 is Chrysler Engine Turquoise. Chrysler Engine Blue was not used until 1972. But, this is your Charger and you can build it any way you want and it is looking real good so far. Keep up the good work!

Actualy, the paint I used was a lot lighter prior to drying! but I like how that color looks with all the other weathered parts around it! I got a new lens for my sweet old momma so i got a little picture friendly, anyways, heres some more progress, finally getting ready to paint the enterior!

thanks for sticking along, more progress to come soon!

You're doing a wonderful job on the weathering! 68-70 Chargers are my favourite Mopar & muscle car ??? If I could offer a little bit of advice, that would add a little bit more realism & it appears you haven't glued the headers to the exhaust pipes yet... maybe attach the exhaust pipes to the headers with glue, allow it to dry solid, then saw off the pipes where they join the headers ( like on a 1:1 ) . Then when you've put it all together ( the body/chassis ) you can attach the exhaust pipes to the headers & you won't have a dodgey ( no pun intended ) looking exhaust.

Cheers & keep up the good work ??

Thanks guys, really appreciate it!

Thanks for the tip cj1971, I was actually trying to find a way to fix that awkward looking exhaust!

The color scheme will be a red exterior on white interior, but ofcourse, they will be very very used and abused!c: Im thinking rust on most wheel openings on the fenders, maybe a bit of rust on the left quarter panel and a different color trunk door and the right door will be painted white with signs of rust, the hood will be the same red as most of the parts, Im thinking maybe mixing the right red with a but ofwhite to make it seem as if the color has faded a bit!

Do you guys think Tamiya Chrome silver is a good color to paint the chrome parts? Im thinking that its a bit too dark!?

Yeh I think Tamiya's chrome will lay out to dark... But... Are you going to "rust" them? If so its not a deal breaker... If not then I'd go with Alcad ??

After a whole lot of struggling the interior was finally painted! I also started on a little weathering and highlighting of some of the parts.

Sorry dor the shi#*% pic, I'll post better ones when I return from work!
