chunkypeanutbutter Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 AMT's Streetle Beetle, or Revell's Barris Beetle with the Rolls grille.
johnbuzzed Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 The AMT '41 Plymouth. A better small-block would be nice, and mold the grille surround with the body.
1972coronet Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 AMT 1971 Duster 340 : - Corrections to its glass (especially the windshield and backlight !) - Different pulley arrangements ( non-A/C , A/C with power steering , non-A/C with power steering) - Torqueflite - Headers - Side Pipes - Period correct custom wheels and tyres MPC 1971 Road Runner : - Add the 1972 R.R. parts , effectively making the kit a two-in-one ! - Backdate the wheels to the original's Cragar S/S - Full compliment of decals - Instructions on bahing / interfacing the old MPC tooling with the relatively-new AMT 1971 Charger
pharoah Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I just thought of 2 related kits I would love to see updated. AMT1967-72 Chevy pickup with a detailed frame/chassis AMT 1972 GMC Stepside with the same. A short bed Fleetside would be nice too.
unclescott58 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Maybe I want more in dept investigation, it's a bit more involving and when done right, with input from everyone here in this" forum of knowledge" we may end up with very detailed and interesting possible tool variant, one everybody wanted but always forgot to ask for. Hope I'm making sense, if not, blame it on the language barrier LOL But when talking '71 Cyclone, what parts are we talking about? The Cyclone MPC is about to release can only be built as a NASCAR race car. A.K.A. a stock car. So I should have been more clear. The version I would like to see could be built "stock" as it appeared on a Lincoln-Mercury show floor back in 1970 or '71. The original MPC Cyclone kits from both 1970 and '71 could be built either way. Scott
unclescott58 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 AMT's Streetle Beetle, or Revell's Barris Beetle with the Rolls grille. I just want the '40 Ford hood and grille from the Streetle Beetle to put on a more realalistic Beetle kit. Scott

jbwelda Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 how about the Revell Orange Crate, but with all new tool parts or somehow to clean up the incredible amount of flashing especially on the chrome tree. so, in summary, at least the chrome tree retooled to be crisp and sharp. jb

Deathgoblin Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Which existing kits would you buy again if certain newly tooled parts were added?(And yes I know very well, there's something like the resin aftermarket) - Amt '71 Charger. if Round2 tools up a new grille with hidden headlamps, rearbumper with the std. taillamps and Daisy spoke mag wheels on fat tires (optional sidepipes) -Monogram '69 Super Bee: New flat or power bulge hood, slight rake and 70s Keystone klassic wheels on fat tires Small note, it's better to list 2 or so and name the parts, that need to be added or reworked, then list a whole slew of possible all new projects, if you would look at them from a cost and tooling design perspective. A rule of tumb is that every cavity costs $1000 and every part except the body have at least two. So try to come up with something exiting new without breaking the bank. Thanks!! Would definitely get the Charger again anyway. It was an awesome kit. I'd like for it to have options for the other years, though. Also one of the flat hoods would be nice. Would it be too much trouble to ask for the non "Air Grabber" hoods on the Mopars?
unclescott58 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Forgot a big one. AMT's GMC Astro 95 with the gas turbine engine. Scott
