Scottnkat Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 This is the AMT King Cobra kit. I based this build not on any particular car, but just on an idea. I knew a few guys back in the 80s that loved to cruise. They (alright, me too) would run slicks when able to, and they would do what they could to hop things up, but they kept the cars street legal. That's how I decided to build this kit. Here's the engine compartment wired up I mounted a spare tire in the trunk
Scottnkat Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 ...and a few more. Here's the interior and a final pic
cobraman Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Nice Cobra Scott. Built a couple of these myself. Is that the intake from the kit ?
rmvw guy Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Nice job, I always liked the opening trunk on this one.
Scottnkat Posted November 18, 2014 Author Posted November 18, 2014 Thanks, guys - yep, that's the kit intake
Danno Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Nice job, Scott. But it needs a Utah plate to be street legal.
Scottnkat Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 Thanks, guys - yeah, you're right, Danno!
Custom10 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 It's awesome to see it as a drag car with a small block. Great work!
cobramike Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 ...and a few more. Here's the interior and a final pic I have a friend here in Denver that has a beautiful 65 Cobra. Real car! It has a 427 in it now. It has a 476 blower on it, sticks out of the hood way up high! You just tap the go fast pedal on it and your sideways in an instant! The thing is amazing on a ggod track with huge mickey thompsons!
