As promised here is a small update.  Glass is installed.  If you recall I cut my own windows from clear acetate.  I left the door windows open to allow a better view of the interior.   Painted the window gaskets with black Sharpie.  Painted the headlight bezels and installed the protective screen in the oil cooler opening.

Thanks Gene & Joe.  With the glass installed I should be able to mount the body onto the chassis for the final time.

I tried to send you a video, looked like it worked, but it's not anywhere in PM's.

Nothing came through Shay.  Someone suggested a work around to post photos.  The grill photos is now up.

Will you have the four spot lamps?

I think it looks better without them, just my opinion.

My original intention was to have the spot lamps.  I need to get them painted and see what they look like.  I might even go with just the (2) upper ones.

That's my pet fly on the roof - such a ham.

Can you still carefully draw/paint a very thin silver line around the Ford logo? It took me a while til I noticed, but there was something "wrong with it".

Furthermore, these grilles were either with the middle stripe and a chromed frame, or all plastic in black. So either a frame around it or paint the silver stripes black. I'd go for the frame if you still can, and if it fits your documentation, it gives the car more character.

Thanks for your interest Adam.  I am aware the grill is not 100% accurate but I'm happy with it.  I hope to complete this build soon.

Nothing really has changed Joe but here are the most recent photos of where the build stands. My friend, Marcos Cruz took these pictures and got a little artsy with the camera angles.:)

My clear body Escort had a casting deformity in the front edge of the roof. I had to repair it with putty to make the kit buildable. When I build it I am going to paint the body.

You could do a half clear and half painted kit!

That would be real cool. I did a Richard Petty

Charger kit that way back in the 70's.

Oh, . . and by the way, that Escort is looking

completely awesome!!
