tqfastfish Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I am building a 1:1 1968 dart pro street car.. I got this dart in on a trade with a whole bunch of other cars.. This is going to be a exact replica of my own dart. I've been working on it for about a year now off and on... I just recently got going on it again. I bought a custom made chassis for it along with a cowl hood. Custom suspension with 4 link and coil overs Pro street wheels and tires I am currently having a engine built from a experienced builder... He is building it to every last detail I say... Chrome Fabbed valve covers, oil pan ect ect .. all custom with a 727 auto trans. He is also doing all the wiring and plumbing on the engine.... so it is a exact replica of mine. I was VERY lucky to start out with such a clean car, Car was a Mr.Norm Big Block GTS car that was slowly wasting away... It is the black one in the first pic... Hope Everybody enjoys it, I don't have any pics from earlier in the build.. I like getting built cars so I can restore it like a real car. let me know if you have any... I would be happy to take them off your hands
TFchronos Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 This is going to be a fun build to watch, great work so far!
freakshow12 Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I could sure use that vinyl top body! Great save
tqfastfish Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 I got the inner fenders in today from my donor car, I took them out a while ago thinking I was going to need the room for a turbo ... I had to trim the frame a little so it would fit together good. Take a look.. I need to get skinnier front wheels
1/24DragAndStreetCars Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Are you going to keep that indy 1500? Ill trade a 64 impala buildup for it
BKroll Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 This is going to be an awesome build.. looking forward to seeing more. Like Reeve's Racing asked, any pictures of real car?
tubbs Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 nice build. both of them! nice to see another 1:1 pro street mopar on the forum. the 1:1 has got a lot of metal taken out. was it an X-race car or did you do all the drilling? looks like a small block with turbo(s)? I will keep an eye on this build. cant beat a mopar, let alone a pro street mopar!have a great day,Tubbs
tqfastfish Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 The dart was a grandma /6 car running and moving ... A lot of work ahead of us,..
tqfastfish Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 At the moment I am waiting for the engine to be completed so I can get that in here..
