Harry P. Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 The lost posts (basically everything posted between Nov. 26-Dec. 8) are gone. It's not financially reasonable to try and retrieve them. So... if any of you posted stuff that you want to see again, please repost your topic again. We can "recover" our lost posts if we all just repost what's gone. That's the easiest way to get the lost posts back.
slusher Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I have no complaints Harry, Thank you and the other administrators do for the forum.
Harry P. Posted December 10, 2014 Author Posted December 10, 2014 Thanks, Carl Just trying to find the easiest way for us to fill in the lost posts. Makes sense to me that we all can do our part and repost whatever was lost.
Cato Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Thanks for being the only moderator to post the situation clearly Harry- regardless of the sad news. I trust this final post of mine on this subject will not disappear as my others have.

Cato Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Unless we move the site again. Kidding!!!! If that unfortunate event does happen, I'm certain you will be the one to disseminate the status when asked-even if only to say 'No info available at this time'. Not kidding.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 The worse part is: I can't remember if I posted something or not inside this interval... I must be getting old.
Russell C Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 The lost posts (basically everything posted between Nov. 26-Dec. 8) are gone. ..... ....... but not exactly. To see what was lost in many cases, check out my explanation on that, please see my post here. For those having the time to copy 'n paste material, at least some of what is re-posted doesn't have to be rewritten from scratch.

It worked perfectly for me, never thought something like that could be done (Or that even I could do it ).
1930fordpickup Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Life will go on even with a few post gone. Thanks to all the people that kept this Forum running. The only thing that I see a problem is the poor guys that just joined and can not figure why they can get back on the site.
bismarck Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 At least we only lost the posts back to last month. It could have been ALOT worse.
Danno Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Alas, some of my finest work was posted during that time frame. The intellectual artistry shared in those posts is lost to the ages. I shan't recover from the creative desolation. Woe is me. Don't getchur panties in an uproar, gang, I'm just kidding!
Russell C Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) Wow, thanks for that! It worked perfectly for me, never thought something like that could be done (Or that even I could do it ). Anytime. Clarified a bit more here with help from one of the other commenters, on a detail I could have described better. Spotted the tip elsewhere several years back in a scandal where a not-too-internet-savvy person thought an incorrect statement could be erased and nobody would be the wiser. That is not the way the internet works, so the lesson learned is that whatever is said or shown had better be something the poster is comfortable with being carved in stones - plural - forever. One or two of those 'stones' can be busted or hidden, but not all of them. Finding the remaining ones is a bit of a trick, sometimes. Edited December 12, 2014 by Russell C
