Ira
McSCAREN!!! McSCAREN will be a Futuristic GTP/DW CAR-Toon Racer with 3 Engines! Planning to use Body Parts from the Deals Wheels "McLapper" and the ZZZZZZZ-28 to make a Scary All-Out Racing Body. I'm building this Futuristic Fun Racer for the CAR-Toons Contest. Should Be FUN! Ira
3 ENGINES! I am going to use the Big HEMI Engine Block from the Vette Zinger Kit and then I am going to use the Double Superchargers from the Pop Corn Wagon on top of the HEMI. 2 Big Jet engines from a 12" X-Wing Fighter are going to back up the Supercharged HEMI. Ira
Saving Old Bodies! Instead of cutting up 2 Vintage Kits, I am going to use 2 Used DW Bodies I picked up. I found this Drivers Head in the parts box, but I'm still looking for a better Head... I used Scotch Tape to remove the old Decals and then I sanded the Body down a little. I marked 2 lines along the edge of the Fenders for Fender Cutting Lines. The plan is to cut these Fenders off and fit them to the McLapper Body. More Coming... Ira
Cutting It Up! I used a Cut-Off Wheel in the Dremel Tool to cut the fenders off the ZZZZZ-28 Body. I think I will cut the Front and Rear Fenders apart, so that I can attach them to the McLapper Body separately. More Coming...
Ira
Nose Job! The front bottom off the Body is attached to the Chassis. I think I'll change that... So I cut the front Chassis Section off and attached it to the Body. Top View. More Coming...
Ira
Lower... I decided to cut a 1/4 inch section from the Chassis so I can Lower the McSCAREN a little. Before I did any cutting I glued a temporary brace inside the Chassis with Zap-A-Gap. Using a Cut-Off Wheel, I cut the Center Section as close as I could. Then I cut 1/4 inch from the Center Section and glued it back in place. Here is the Top Side after I removed the Temporary Brace. I should be able to lower McSCAREN Now! More Coming... Ira
Vents! I'm going to add several Vents to the McSCAREN. These Plastic Stairs will work just fine. I cut a length of Stairs and used it the mark the areas to be cut out. I cut the areas out with a Drill Bit and a Cut-Off Wheel. After a little cutting and sanding, I got a pretty good fit, so I glued the first 2 Vents in place with Zap-A-Gap. More Coming...
Ira
More Vents! I decided to add Vents in the rear too. First cut the Vents then mark the Body Vent Areas to be cut out. Next cut out the Body Vent Areas and glue the Vents in. Here they are glued in place. More Coming...

Ira
Double Vents! I needed to fill a different shaped area with the Vents. So I cut 2 lengths of Stairs for this one. Then I glued them together and cut out an area for them. Here they are in place. Here is the McScaren Body with most of the Vents in place. More Coming... Ira
McScaren Rear End! The used McLapper body didn't have a Rear End. So I borrowed a Rear End from a complete kit and traced the shape on sheet plastic. After a little more trimming and fitting I got the Rear End to fit pretty good. Next I cut a length of strip plastic and bent the ends down a little. Then I glued it in place. Next I cut a length of thick strip plastic and glued it in the gap as shown. Here is the Rear End after some more sanding. More Coming...

Ira
Need More Vents! I cut a couple lengths of Stairs for the rear. Then I marked off 2 areas to be cut out. I cut out the areas Then I used a sanding board to make a real nice fit on the Vents. When I get a Tight Fit, I put the Vents in place and they don't fall out. Then I apply Zap-A-Gap to the Vents on the inside the Body. This makes a nice clean bond that is east to clean up. More Coming...

Ira
More Power! I need more room to mount the X-Wing Jet Engines. So I added a piece of sheet plastic on the back of the Chassis. Then I added a strip along the bottom. Next I glued a piece of sheet plastic over the strip. Now the angle is right for mounting the Jet Engines. More Coming...
