Can-Con Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 nice work on the cowl. fyi, the carb on the 30 yr old engine is on backwards. Thanks on the cowl. The carb ,, Yea, I know now but I didn't back then. In my defense though, it is how it shown to be installed in the instructions. BTW, the new engine has a quadrajet instead of the Holley and a different air cleaner assembly so I won't be able to make the same mistake again. Looking good, Steve! Thanks Chris.
bobthehobbyguy Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Great paint. Nice job on the wheels. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
slusher Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Beautiful color and paint. Great work so far..
om617 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Great wheels and color,is going to look awsome when done.
drodg Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I have wanted to do a MPC or Model King stock 69 GTO. I think the back lights and rear bumper look better on the original 69 mold as compared to the Monogram 1/24 kit. I wonder if Missing Link still makes the interior? You have done a great job.
Can-Con Posted February 14, 2015 Author Posted February 14, 2015 not much to look at really but the front end is now done except for painting. Made some U shaped channel and pinned the "steering uprights" that came in the kit in them then glued them to the chassis plate. Made some tie rods from thin brass to connect it together and topped it off with the lower A arms from an old MPC TransAm kit. Like I said, not much to look at but it is functional.
Can-Con Posted February 25, 2015 Author Posted February 25, 2015 She's all done now. I'll post it in "under glass" as soon as I can get a chance to take some pics of it.
