Chillyb1 Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 I found these recently and immediately bought several because I think they solve a problem I've encountered often: How to apply fluids precisely in both location and quantity. I now have one loaded with Tamiya's thin liquid cement, one with Testors's white glue, and one with a home-mixed black wash.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 I can't remember what the brand is that I have. These things work magic.
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Interesting possibilities. Thanks for the heads-up.
Miatatom Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Here's the solution I came up with. I've been using it for about 1 1/2 years and it works great. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=77637

Chillyb1 Posted December 25, 2014 Author Posted December 25, 2014 Will it work with thin CA or clog the tip? I should have mentioned this in the original post:
afx Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Where did you find them? I really like FlexiFile's "Touch-N-Flow" applicator which is a very similar concept.
Cato Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 I should have mentioned this in the original post: Thank you Curtis; I see what it claims but wondered if anyone has actually tried CA in it. My experience with the CA containers is that they get solid if left uncovered even a few minutes on the bench. I fear that thin needle tip will do the same.
guitarsam326 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) I used CA in it and I clogged up and the tip of the cap got stuck inside the tube and it broke. this was after using it about 4-5 days, I liked it at first too, but I wont be buying another one. pharr7226 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 You could use it for CA Kicker. I don't like spraying the Kicker because I don't want to inhale it. I generally put a drop above the glue joint and let gravity pull it down over the CA. These bottles would work well the the gravity method of applying CA Kicker.
William S. Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Hobby lobby has them. NOT good for CA glue. Very useful for other glues or washes.
Jantrix Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Interesting possibilities. Thanks for the heads-up. x2

Used the 40% off coupon, as always. Got home and put some kicker in it and noticed that when the bottle is inverted, the kicker drip out without pressure on the bottle. Probably still better than applying drops with an improvised dropper or spraying.

For slightly less viscous glue the thing works fine.

Miatatom Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Works much better if you only fill the bottle about 1/4 full.
