This one I finished in 2012 and it's one of my builds that I'm most happy with. The Silverado is a nice kit, a little fittingissues with the frontpart (grille, headlights) but other than that it went togheter very well. I built it right out of the box, added the lightrack on the bed from the Monogram Ford F-250 kit and decals on the doors come from AMT Ford C-600 stakebed. Weathered it with Doc O'Briens weatheringpoweders that I got from MicroMark. The paint is yellow from a rattlecan (I think it maybe was John Deere yellow from Duplicolor but not sure).

The trailer is Revells racecar trailer (this one in a kit on it's own, but it has been released with a Chevy van and maybe others aswell) that I built right out of the box (painted and weathered in the same manner as the truck) but I omitted the tirerack as I don't think they use tireracks on trailer that carry machines around.

The Volvo MC70 skidsteer loader is 1:24 toy made by DickieToys and I bought it cheaply at ToysR'Us. I modified it according to pictures I found of 1:1 versions on the net. Removed the knobs that you work the loaderpart with and also took it apart and detailpainted it and weathered it in the same manner as truck and trailer.

I think I saw this setup driving down the road the other day!

A local line construction company has a similar setup, although their truck is a GMC and has the four full doors. They tow around a trailer with a mini-excavator on it. The excavator is just a wee bit too heavy for the truck, though, as repeated towing bent the frame and hitch slightly; they had to rebuild the truck!

Thank you very much guys. A diorama for this would be cool but I got so many plans and so little time and space. I do think that this might be a littlebit to heavy for the Silverado aswell and some may notice that the loader is not chained down (something I would have added if I built it today) so I would not be going a great distance at speed with this.

I do have a love for construction equipment and have collected several different machines in 1:24/25 scale in the last few years. Dickie Toys has several Volvo machines including this loader and some excavators and I also found a 1:24 Caterpillar excavator that can be seen on this picture of the Mack Superliner dumptruck:

Not really sure who made it as the box only says Construiction Toys made in China and it does not have any Cat emblems on it. It also looks very much like a downscaled version of a Bruder 1:16 toy.

Got plans to detail it up in the same fashion as the loader on the trailer.

Just curious as to where you actually picked up the cat excavator. I've seen a couple of them online but never in person. Any help would be appreciated.

They was on sale in local toystores back in 2011 around here. Think I saw some more of them some time ago but not sure if they got them anymore. They also have a Mercedes Actros in dumptruck and cementmixer versions and a couple of other smaller loaders. They also had a large loader that I only saw once.

Here is a ended ebay listing that shows pictures of what it looks like in its box

I would also like to know the name of the producer but only thing I can find is Construction Vehicle series and that MC logo.
