JTalmage Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 So, I've noticed that a lot of folks here post their yearly completed builds... What about the unfinished? I think a thread with members' unfinished builds from the year would be pretty neat don't you think? Honorable mentions if you will. But, would that go under "on the bench" or ??
Casey Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Wouldn't those unfinished builds already be posted separately in the OTW sections?
JTalmage Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 Yes, well I see what you're saying but what I'm getting at is folks post a thread w/ all their completed builds of the year in summary... I think it would be neat to see what didnt get done and what state it was last in. I forgot about the "what will you build in the winter" thread as things get buried soo quickly here.
Ramfins59 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I think that probably a lot of members have so many "started projects" that it would take lots of space to picture them all.
JTalmage Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 Well true, but I was thinking of the unfinished builds that were started *just* from this year. But youre right... probably too much to handle. Already a lot of threads going on about completed/incomplete projects anyway.

But youre right... probably too much to handle. Already a lot of threads going on about completed/incomplete projects anyway. I was pretty lucky this year. I think I only have 2 or 3 that I started & didn't finish. Now if we're talking about unfinished builds I have in my stash, it could be more like 30 or 40! Steve
Foxer Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) Wouldn't those unfinished builds already be posted separately in the OTW sections? so would the ones being posted for 2014 .. called Under Glass Edited December 29, 2014 by Foxer
Brizio Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I think that probably a lot of members have so many "started projects" that it would take lots of space to picture them all. True!!! I can easily be in this list!

Quick GMC Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 just start the same type of thread in the workbench section. "My uncompleted builds of 2014"
JTalmage Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 I just might. I intended it to be sort of a kickstart to get others also excited about finishing things that are unfinished. Plus maybe there's something someone is working on that we havent seen in a while... might kick up some interest in the project again.
Tom Geiger Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I get what you are suggesting and think its a cool idea. I could easily post mine since I do a build album for everything. I do my Holiday ModelCar Amnesty build every year between the holidays since I have off from work. I pick out something that's been unfinished for years and finish it. While guys participate with me on another board, it was met with about the same enthusiasm you got on this board.
Casey Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 It seems unnecessarily redundant. You'd have a new topic containing all of your in progress builds for 2014 in the OTW section, plus all of the existing individual topics for each of those very same in progress projects in the OTW section. I'm pretty sure there are at least two stalled project type topics in the OTW section, too, and maybe even a Community Build topic to get those projects moving again.
