After reading Mike 1017's "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad..." thread, I see that more than a few of you were checking out the cars in this flick. That reminded me of a site which saves you, the OCD-afflicted car aficionado, the trouble of going through each frame to ID a set of wheels. It's the International Movie Car Database. With this time saving reference, you can spend more of your valuable time debating about whether to paint the interior of your Duck Egg Blue Goggomobil T250 model Bozo Red or Fuscia with Smargadine accents

I went there to try to discover the origin of the T street rod in "With Six You Get Eggroll". Always liked that car. But no luck. Anyone know who built it? Just curious.

As to who built it, I dunno. But I think I've seen it or something VERY much like it in the old Rod & Custom Pictorials or in Rod & Custom. I'll see if I have time tonight to flip through the pictorials and see if it's in there.

I like the '67 Galaxie convertible from that same movie.

Tom Booth. The rolling chassis is on the cover of the August '66 Car Craft, not sure if it was featured in that issue though.

I was right. There are THREE photos of this car in the first (unnumbered) Street Rod Pictorial (2-page spread, and then two pics on the back cover including a closeup of the engine, uncredited). It's also in Street Rod Pictorial #2, in a group shot of a couple dozen rods. (It's easily distinguishable by the wire fronts, brass radiator, and FI SBC.)

If one wanted to pick ONE car to represent the so-called "Fad T," this one would be a pretty good candidate.
