chunkypeanutbutter Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Needs more of that VW dirt inside, like how everything is lightly blackened over time Looks nice!
Atmobil Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Ahhh!! That's very nice, I got to get myself a couple of these kits
GeeBee Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Very nice build, I've got some Ruby red to paint my next Tamiya Beetle ...
Foxer Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Nice job there .. that collor really makes it pop!
Zarana-X Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Excellent work! the color looks lovely. The kit itself looks much better than I was expecting.
B-Ram Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Great work. I had a 1:1 just like that, same color. Cool.
Tom Geiger Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Nice VW! I have that same kit and am about to build a red Beetle myself. My father had one like yours when we lived in Germany back in the late 60s- early 70s.
minkos Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 thank you all for the compliments! the polar lights spiderman kit is one of the better early '60s VWs in terms of detail. i added some details and had to work many of the parts and pieces to fit together better in a non-snap tite environment. MCW supplied the ruby red in lacquer. the next one that i do will be the same kit in sea blue with the identical gray interior.
