Snake45 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 81? She was almost as old as my mother! Who knew?
GLMFAA1 Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Unbelievable she would have been 33 years old when I was 16 and watching her and Jethro Had to watch the Twilight Zone episode she was in what a different role RIP greg
Harry P. Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Yep, heard it earlier today. RIP, Elly May. So is Max Baer (Jethro) still among the living? If so, he would be the last man standing, as Jed, Granny, Mr. Drysdale, and Miss Jane have all checked out already.
Harry P. Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Related trivia: How many of you know that Buddy Ebsen (Jed Clampett) was the original Tin Man in "The Wizard of Oz?" In fact, filming had already begun, and footage still exists of scenes with Ebsen as the Tin Man. But he had a severe allergic reaction to the aluminum powder used in his Tin Man makeup and had to be hospitalized, so the part went to Jack Haley instead. And the rest, as they say, is history.

my80malibu Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 A live Daisy Duke, beats a dead Elly Mae in my book.
