Next we have a 1970 Chevelle that I put a 2006 Camaro top on and also used the Camaro interior. Again I used the same paint technique as the Impala. And I have in progress shots if needed.

Here we have a Corvette for my Grand son. Built out of box with newer Corvette wheels added, but again I used the same paint process as before, did not want one to be jealous if the other.

Last but not least is a Tbird I built for my oldest grand daughter, she was into Monster High when I built this, but she still has it proudly displayed in her room for all to see.

Hey John:

This is a Revell 70 Chevelle that i built about 4 years ago for a club group build. I used a mid 2000's Corvette windshield, interior, taillight panel, and side panels. I scracth built the headrest pods and the air dam on the front bumper. Check out my Fotki link there are some in progress pics there. Hope you like it.

Jon

Hey Jon was unable to find the original post on these but I did locate a few in progress shots of the Impala and the Chevelle

Here is a few on the Impala. first I tried some lace on the hood, roof and trunk, painted this with the purple ,then I thinned down some of this paint with some clear and shot this on with an airbrush, then I added a checkered pattern to the quarter panel again using the same paint as before, the added some flames with the pink.

This is the Chevelle. Painted the base coat with Testors Diamond Dust. I then used the smoking sprue to get the marble effect,Then I used Tamiya clear blue and top it off with some clear. The blue will only be the SS stripes when complete. I masked off the for the checker board same as I did on the Impala then cut out each square before I shot this with Tamiya light blue metallic then some clear blue then some clear to top it all off. Sanded an polished before I masked off for the stripes and the flames on the rear quarters and shot the whole thing with the Tamiya Light Blue again..

Here is a couple more shots of the Chevelle. You can see the design better in these. This is before the final wet coats were applied.
