taaron76 Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) I finally got started on my next model. Thanks to Joe (Mustang1989) for the "washing" tip. I'd never tried it before tonight, but I think it makes a huge difference. Sold! Tim Edited January 22, 2015 by taaron76
taaron76 Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 NIce start Tim Thanks, Jim! I'm using your interior as the bar, which is incredible by the way... Although mine won't be anything close to yours, it gives me something to shoot for. Being its a convertible, I have no choice but to detail it a little more. Lol. Still undecided on interior and exterior colors. Tim
microwheel Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 I'm sure your interior is gonna turn out just fine Tim. For me, I just do alot of googling for pics as I go along, and then sit and do alot of head scratching on how to get it to look like the pics lol.. It's your build, so just take your time, give it lots of thought, and do like I do, if I get stuck, I ask some of the other guys on here what they do and use.. LOL
taaron76 Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) No clear coat needed on this one and not a ounce of orange peel. Just a light polish to get some of the dust out. I have to apply a light wash in between the panels and that should do it for paint. Tim Edited January 10, 2015 by taaron76
taaron76 Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 I added a few water lines and vacuum hoses. Tim
espo Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Great paint job. With that engine this should be a killer looking Vette.
mikemodeler Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 That paint is beautiful and the engine is looking great. What paint is that ?
taaron76 Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 All finished with the chassis, but haven't decided on wheels yet. I have three options... Tim
