I had seen something about this collection before. It's a shame that these cars were not better cared for by the owner.

There's a great article on the collection and the "discovery" in the latest "Octane" magazine. One thing to remember is that when he was buying these cars, there was no "classic car" market. Those were the days when a five year old Ferrari 250TR racecar was pretty much worthless after it had been through a couple of privateers' hands. He bought "old" cars, many of which were in pretty dodgy condition when he bought them. It's only following the establishment of the "investment" classic car market that it's become rational to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a restoration of the basket cases that many of them are...

I found one I liked, the Lorraine-Dietrich B3-6 pickup:

Funny Chris, I liked the same Vehicle out of that list. For me though it'd be fun to drive to the Village to pickup the Mail n go to the Hardware Store - 5 Miles of Dirt Road 'tween here and there.
