Steve, I found on mine that after I test fit it with the interior, firewall and radiator support, it all sat pretty good motor-wise. assuming you have the motor seated fully in the 'mounts', I had a couple of mine want to lift up on one side for some reason, where the others sat nice and 'flat'.

Yes, after I went back I noticed that the motor sits perfect on the mounts and I actually put a small dab of strong glue to make sure it doesn't lift. What I did notice is that the radiator support sits quite high and I believe that is what is making the hood not close completely. I will post pictures when I get the chance. Thank for the response!

Looking good so far. I still have a 4 year old wip of the kit on this board. I really need to get it done at some point.

Get that going again! I would love to see your progress and results as mine have hit a major roadblock. The air filter is what is preventing the hood from closing fully

So here is where I stand. The hood will not close when the chassis is brought together, and then put on it's wheels. Also, I feel like the rear suspension is a little low for stock considering it's almost tucking rim. Anyone else have this kind of issue? Sorry for the questions in the WIP thread.

Thanks!

Looks great! Love the color combo on it and the paint job came out very good. Also your hood closes haha! Need to figure out why mine is hitting the air filter.

After some time I was able to work the body to sit on the chassis at the appropriate height (I believe) and the hood was able to close shut! Here is how it sits now, just have to build a paint booth and will able to finish up this model!

That is looking perfect. Great work for your 4th build. Maybe I missed it, but what color are you leaning towards for the body?

Thank you, and I will be painting it duplicolors royal blue with the white decal stripes from the kit.

Well finally made a paint booth and had some time off of work and was able to get some spraying done today. Primed the hood and body, but the body will need some work. The hood actually took it's first coat of color!

And of course this wonderful disaster! As I went to turn the body around the front hit the filter inside the booth and the primer was still fresh. Left me with this, I'll sand and re-prime when I get the chance.

On a positive note the first coat of color went on great! Can't wait to add some more and clear it!

Finally got some time to spray some paint on the body. First paint job in my booth! Very happy with this color and how it came out. Clear coat is next on the list!

Thanks! It has a very fine metallic flake when the light hits it correctly, pictures do not do the color justice. It's Duplicolor BFM0340 Royal Blue if anyone is interested.

Small update, I have been side tracked with another build I started but I had a little bit of time this morning to spray the grill and add some finishing touches. I was going for a more subtle yet tougher look than original so I went with flat black. Clear coat should be hitting the body this week!
