atomicholiday Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 While I'm waiting for paint to arrive for my P-40B, I dug this one out and took a look to see what needed done. Yes, this is yet another one from 15 years ago. This is the one that just about gave me a nervous breakdown. I hate doing BMF and this is not the kit for someone who doesn't like applying that stuff. Fortunately, I already had that part done. Here's where I am so far: Bodies almost ready for glass & interior and then I'll drop it over the chassis. Interior is finished. Yeah, more BMF in there too. Glad that parts done. I may add a little more weather/wash on the chassis. I did some, but I'm thinking it could use a little more on the exhaust.
tbill Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 looks great! yup, nothing like using a 1/2 sheet of BMF on one car
StevenGuthmiller Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 The Monogram '59 Chevy kits are not bad at all for foil usage All of the side trim is plated so that leaves basically the fin & trunk trim & window trim. You want to use up some foil? Try one of these! Steve
espo Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Your right about cars from the 50's, you can never have enough foil. That's one of the best color combo for on of these "bat wings". Can't wait to see it finished.
Foxer Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 looking REALLY good! I have one sitting for as long that needs the BMF ehhe
