Harry P. Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 I just watched the Seattle/Green Bay game. Great game, wound up tied and going to overtime. So here's my rant: For OT, Seattle won the toss, and scored a TD to win the game. Unfair! Green Bay didn't even get a chance to put their offense on the field! I hate that "sudden death" sort of OT. Why not just play a full 15-minute OT, let both teams have possessions, and see where it goes. It's unfair that one team can win the coin toss, score a TD, and be called the winner while the other team never has a chance to play offense in the OT segment. In the regular season, play a 15 minute OT... if the game is still tied after OT call it a tie. In the postseason, you obviously need a winner, so play 15 minutes of OT, if the game is still tied, play another 15, etc. until someone wins. Sudden death OT is unfair.
1930fordpickup Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Not Fair League is what it stands for Harry. Ask Dez Bryant and Calvin Johnson.
cruz Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) Don't care what happens from herein, the Ravens were eliminated and I am happy! LOL! But I can relate to your comment. I am more of a Baseball fan than a Football fan anyway.... Edited January 20, 2015 by cruz
Petetrucker07 Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I agree Harry. Play until someone wins.
Roadrunner Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 It seems to me like they get the first four quarters to play offense.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I think it's unfair that football gets more attention than hockey
High octane Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Sports are played with balls MIles, and even drag racing takes TWO balls. In hockey they use a puck, and the only thing that resembles a puck is the mint in the urinal.
slusher Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Should play the overtime just like any other quarter until the game is over. Fans have complained about sudden death overtime for years. Time for a change...

Dirt Demon Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 The Patriots rock!!!!..... Super Bowl bound!!!
JTRACING Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 its all rigged, probably some Mob ties that made that outcome, the Pack were unstoppable all game and then all of sudden they can do nothing.. ya right what about the gold cleats? the nfl said he would be ejected if he wore those what happened to that?

Green Bay did not deserve to win. they let the hawks hang around instead of putting them away. should have never went to OT!! last time I checked your suppose to catch a onside kick with your hands, not your face mask!! oh yea, and lets let Wilson throw up a panic 2 point conversion, then NOT make a play on the ball.Hockeys a great sport!i'm all for a 5 or 10 minute OT, but, it's not like that. so stop me if you want the in OT.
jwrass Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Harry, you have my vote! How many times are they going to screw around with that rule!! I say referendum and revolt! Tubb's, You are so right on!!! Poor coaching in the second half, the defense played them looser than a hookers ho ha. They didn't get beat! They beat themselves again!!! I mean Shermans arm is hanging on the ground and you don't expose that GEEZ. 16 points in like 19 seconds (or whatever the number was) In all the interviews I saw those boys were in a daze!
Sixties Sam Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I agree with Harry. I like the college OT rules better. One team scores, then the other one gets a chance to score.
Agent G Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Someone used a deflated coin..................................... G
slusher Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I agree with Harry. I like the college OT rules better. One team scores, then the other one gets a chance to score. That is how I feel. NFL should go to the college overtime rules.

They took the points because it was the general rule and believed they would score again. The last interception Packer safty should have kept running. The onside kick beat them. Defense played great but was tired by the end of the game. They was on the field most of the second half...
