SSNJim Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Then YOU pay for the website to be made compatible with IE...which is crapp. Any reasonably intelligent 8-year-old can install Firefox or Chrome. What kind of response is that? It has nothing to do with anything. Thanks for your input.
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) What kind of response is that? It has nothing to do with anything. Thanks for your input. You said, sarcastically: "Totally agree with Harry. It is much easier to force hundreds or thousands of non-technical users to install and figure out a third party browser than it is to fix the website. Use Firefox or Chrome." You're saying the website needs to be fixed to be compatible with a web-browser that's the joke of the industry. I'm saying that anyone with a brain ought to be able to install a web-browser on their own computer that actually works. it ain't brain surgery. Edited January 23, 2015 by Ace-Garageguy
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 You did a nice job of evading the question. Define the "question" I evaded, please.
SSNJim Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Never mind. Not worth going any further with you.
Erik Smith Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) Yup, Photobucket. Easy and free. I have a lot of photos and very little space taken. It's as easy as clicking and pasting. I can even do it from my phone, like this: Huh, well, that's ironic. My PB mobile is down... :0 Oh, now it works Edited January 23, 2015 by Erik Smith
metalhead Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) Let me try this again. Edited January 23, 2015 by metalhead
metalhead Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Finally! Thank you, southpier! If it hadn't of been for that little tip, I would still be in the dark.
om617 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 If people are not sure how to install a new browser why not ask a friend or family member to do it for them? Also when it comes to install new browser there is usually a guide who take you step by step to finish it. No one expect everyone to know everything about computers, even the "easy" stuff. I had to change my browser from Firefox to Chrome because i had trouble with my internet bank. It feels like everything is running way more smooth now. Also Chrome allow you to import all bookmarks and passwords from the old browser. Internet Explorer is junk.
High octane Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 When posting photos, how do you get to the Model Cars Photobucket? Thanks.
Belugawrx Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 (edited) When posting photos, how do you get to the Model Cars Photobucket? Thanks. Photobucket is an app that you set up on your own computer Upload your photos to photobucket... Select the picture you want to download to your post here... Press IMG ... Return here to your post and right click and choose paste... Easy peezy Edited January 24, 2015 by Belugawrx
Harry P. Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 When posting photos, how do you get to the Model Cars Photobucket? Thanks. There is no "Model Cars Photobucket." Photobucket is a photo hosting site, it has nothing to do with Model Cars magazine or this website. It's a place where you can open an account and post your photos into albums... they literally store your photos online for you. Besides Photobucket, there are several others that so the same thing but may work slightly differently, like Fotki, Pinterest, Flikr, Picasa, Imageshack, Shutterfly, etc. Photobucket's websire is photobucket.com
High octane Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I have a photobucket account and have no problems posting on other forums, only this one. When I try to click on my photo I've selected to the image box with the URL, the whole thing turns a light blue and freezes up.

Tom Geiger Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Back to the original question... as you can see from some of the responses here, some folks think it's like black magic and beyond their skill set. When I've shown some people how to get photos to my Fotki account, then post onto a board, they are amazed at how very easy it really is. I've had a Fotki paid account for at least 10 years. They have sales all the time, and I'll re-up for multiple years when the price is right. I like the way Fotki albums and functions work, and I have something like 25,000 photos on it. I use it for model cars, real cars and family stuff. There's nothing like being able to post an album the day after Christmas and being able to send a link to your relatives so they can view it too. And that's worth the dollar or two a month for me. The other reasons people don't post... some aren't that comfortable writing and composing posts. Some are lazy. It takes a bit of time to put together a "How To" or even a build thread. I post a lot, I find it fun and easy to communicate this way. And with the number of photos I have a click away, it's easy to find one to illustrate my point.
