Ace-Garageguy Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Very nice work. Love he Bluenose especially.
High octane Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Awesome models Dave, and thanks for posting.
Jim B Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Fantastic job. I have a friend that served on the USS Sataroga. Is that the 1/96 Revell USS Constitution? Looks awesome.
Roadrunner Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Very nice. I have the big Revell Constitution (with sails) as well. If I ever find the time, I'd like to do it and the Cutty Sark, and I'll be a happy guy.
Miatatom Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Great looking ships! I have a 1/700 scale model of the ship I served on while in the Navy. It's the USS Norfolk DL-1. I bought it 3 years ago before I even got back into cars. I'm still intimidated by it. I don't want to mess it up because there aren't a lot of them available as well as it cost quite a bit. It's resin. The kit came with the needed 5" gun mounts and ASROC (Anti Submarine Rocket) launcher to convert it to the 1960s configuration. I was aboard from 63 to 66. Any suggestions, references, etc. would be helpful. PM me if you have any.
Tesla Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 They're all great! The USS Constitution rigging must have been a nightmare.
