Lunajammer Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 You guys talk about models you built in the "good old days" when I was just a few years old, and it blows my mind that you guys were building models this beautiful back then, with what you had at the time. Gorgeous job! Thanks so much for the compliment Ben. But actually you give me too much credit. I consider this period to be the modeling Renaissance. Aftermarket products were coming out of nowhere, multiple car modeling magazines on the shelves and paints were getting better and broader. I would say there's nothing on this build that predated anything today.
peekay Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 A beautiful build-up of a kit I'm particularly fond of.
JTalmage Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Wow thats a gorgeous build. Man... if I had a car like that in real life... I'd need no other car.... I always thought DeSoto's were probably the most gorgeous car of their day.
Lunajammer Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 Thanks for all good vibes folks. Nice way to head into the weekend.
geetee66 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 This is a real beauty! Still looking good despite her age It honestly looks like you only just completed it...!
Tom Geiger Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Very nice! That's the color scheme on the box as well as the original brochure. I tried to duplicate it back in early 1980s and failed miserably. Betcha I could do it now !
