rmvw guy Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 (edited) I received this one in the mail as a gift from my son last week. I knew if I put it on the shelf it would never get built. Remember when you bought your first model and just couldn’t wait to open the box and start on it? Well, that’s kind of the way I approached it and yes, I did use almost every part. It was a fun kit to build and the added bonus of a trailer! The paint is Dupli-Color automotive paint. I would recommend using the straight axle as opposed to the independent front suspension. The front wheels although pose able, are a bit fragile and fell off while I was taking photos. This one I painted and dropped on the fresh paint, so had some repairs right away. *^%#@ I was tempted to weather it at that point. Just another quick build, taking an extra day or two. Hope you enjoy these quick photos I got this morning with a little snow in the scene. Happy Modeling! Edited February 7, 2015 by rmvw guy
Greg Pugh Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I still love breaking the cellophane on a new kit. It takes me back every time.
Ramfins59 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Nice looking model Ron. I remember building this back when it first came out. It's a great kit.
rmvw guy Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 Thanks guys. Looking back at the pictures I notice all the flaws as always. Haven't had a perfect one yet. Thanks for being kind with your comments.
Sixties Sam Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Very cool! Great color choice! Good work! Sam
espo Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Looks great. I like your color choice better than the blue on the box.
lghtngyello03 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Nice! I had this exact same kit when I was growing up. Wish I had another to build, lol.
