Kenny B Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Here is my 81 Camaro Z28 that I used to own for about 15 years. I ended up selling her to a guy that wanted to restore it. When he left he did a nice little second gear chirp and I never saw her again. I miss that car, but was she ever hard on the fuel. All the pollution control junk was taken off and had a nice lumpy cam that crused along nice in 3rd gear. It was sure fast off the line but would red line at about 95 mph. It did have a 350 4 speed duel exhaust big pipes. Iscared myself a few times being young and stupid. Boy I sure miss my old car as many might relate. I built a model of her about 11 years ago to remember the old times. The closest year I could find was a 79. I changed the hood to reflect an 81 but didn't change the vents on the fenders. Other than that I don't think there was any other changes that GM did between 79-81. The kit sure needs alot of help under the hood it was like Revell forgot all about that part of the kit. Maybe one day I will redo under the hood to make it just right. Did I say I miss my old Car. Thanks for looking..... Did I say that I sure miss my old Car. Ken
Petetrucker07 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Well done. That's a very nice model of the 1:1. That blue on the little Camaro looks really good.
slusher Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Great looking build. Real nice work. I know how you feel I still miss a Mopar I let go 26 years ago...
towman1271 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Always nice to see tribute builds to someone or something! Great job
DumpyDan Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 That look real good, nice job on the hood..............Smooth
Scalper Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Nice. Interior and paint is killer. And your hood sits better then mine.
Kenny B Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 Thanks guys for all the wonderful coments, it made me feel like I was out crusin again. And it didn't even cost me any fuel. Ken.
Danno Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Very nice! Good job. I had a '78 . . . wish I still had a '78! Loved that car, had a lot of GREAT times with it. But, the Lovely and Gracious Mrs. B and I decided she had to go . . . the three kids and the dog, all in the back seat, just kept growing up and getting bigger.
tbill Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 that's a good looking build right there. and yes, I can relate, need to do a replica of my 66 chevelle and 71 Camaro ss eventually.
