Twokidsnosleep Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 Doesn’t your weather go from -20 and blowing to +30 with 99% humidity with a week of spring flooding in between?? I will try the Tamiya decanted unless I find a better midnight blue

When the weather goes bad.... did the paint not cure?
Belugawrx Posted October 6, 2018 Author Posted October 6, 2018 Ok weather is cooling off again...12 C two days ago now 24 C...? Watching you guys working on these 1:12 Tamiyas has brought the Wolf back out again... I wet sanded 1000g and 2000g, put the tamiya TS-55 in a pot of hot water, and shot the body panels again,... just a couple hangers I need to wet sand out, then decals.. While I was here , I attached a few of the sub assemblies... ... More wiring of the dash cluster and roll bar electrical ... This is getting Done, this year... Cheers

Scale-Master Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 Lookin' really good! I like the way the finish came out.
Rider Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 I just read through your posts in this thread. You have done an amazing job on this build Bruce, it's great to see it back on the bench. Looking forward to seeing this completed.
Belugawrx Posted October 13, 2018 Author Posted October 13, 2018 Tim, Lee, Mark, Lloyd, Thank you very much for the feedback, it's encouraging,.... at this point.... So I laid on one of the swooshes, and I gotta say this is just not doing anything for me.. That one decal took me 4 hours of manipulation and a 4 coats of MICRO SOL. It's got a matte finish to it, and I am not clearing these panels... Silvering took place under the "clear" portion, and when I try to set them flat, the "clear" tore away So, I am now thinking... Scan the decal sheet,.. Make a mask,.. Spray Tamiya X-12, .... I'll keep detailing while I think about this one...Cheers
