    I have the same Tamiya RX7 kit here and its a duplicate of your one. Looks to me to be deliberate move by Tamiya to mould it that way.

    The intake manifold in particular is way off with only two runners on the left side

    I've just got a couple or transkits off ebay seller diolex. One is a Hellcat Widebody for the AMT Challenger and the other for the Tamiya Mustang kit. Both are excellent quality and arrived promptly and well packed.

    Adding to my Ferrari collection I some what luckily received this one which I purchased off Ebay Japan and is a mint copy. i got a message from FedEx to say they had just delivered it to me but there was no sign of it on my property. A few minutes later I got a phone call from a cafe across town to say FedEx had just left them a package with my address on it. I jumped in the car and went and collected it but I do wonder how these couriers ever find their way home.

    I've now done an inventory of this kit and found an envelope inside with the redesigned decals. The original decals were also included.
