MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. Very Clean with some really nice decal work…beautiful model!
  2. Thanks Guys…appreciate the feedback. The 1st thing I want to do is replace the rear cross member to support the IRS and update the transmission cross member. I need to modify the IRS to get the stance I want and the tires positioned where I want them. Next up is fixing the seam in the bottom of the engine, a little extra glue, a medium grit sanding board, a little primer, and it’s like it was never there. More updates coming soon…Thanks for lookin’😎
  3. Cool Hot Rod Alan…great mix of vintage and modern parts. It’d really be nice if Round 2 would bring back the 29 Ford Tudor.
  4. Just freaking amazing…had to look long and hard to find any clue that this is in fact a model car. The most realistic Hot Rod model I have ever seen.
  5. I can’t believe I’ve been a MCM Forum member for so long and I haven’t done a WIP until now 😳 After seeing all the cool old pickups in the Tim Boyd Tribute Thread it motivated me to build one too. This will be a 1970’s Style Street Rod using the Monogram 29 Ford Roadster Pickup with small block Ford Engine and IRS from the Monogram 55 Ford Panel Truck. The Truspoke Style Wheels and front tires are from the Monogram 32 Ford Roadster. The Rear Tires are from Fireball Model Works. It won’t be quite as detailed as the trucks in the Tim Boyd tread but hopefully still be “Cool”. Thanks for lookin’😎
  6. Cool old Muscle Car Aymer…looks like it’s ready for the track.
  7. Sounds good Ken…based on your other Rod builds I’m looking forward to seeing what you do this time.
  8. Good looking Super Stocker Scott…love the engine detail and decal work! Very Cool 😎
  9. Sad news indeed…RIP Snake. Prayers and condolences to those that are close to him.
  10. Thank You All for your feedback and thanks to those that left a “like “! I did a few things to correct some of the issues with the AMT Willys… 1. Move the front axle 2/3mm forward to center the front wheels in the wheel wells. 2. Smooth out the “peak” on the top of the front fenders. 3. Delete the pins on the chassis that locate the interior tub/body so you can locate the body to properly align it with the tilt front end. 4. On this build I also added tinted side windows, larger slicks from Speed City Resin, and the Hemi.
  11. Lookin good Lee…this thing is straight out of the 70s! Excellent paint work, both the color and design are perfect for the van. Very well done.😎
  12. AMT Willys with decals from Slixx. Hemi engine and headers from AMT Double Dragster kit. Slicks from Speed City Resin. Paint is Tamiya Clear Red over a Tamiya Mica Silver base coat. Thanks for lookin’😎
  13. Nice work Andy…Falcons/Rancheros make such cool Gassers! Great job on modifying the floorboards and building the frame. You definitely captured the 60s Gasser vibe😎
  14. Great Stuff Scott…thanks for sharing!
