Foxer
I'll be waiting to see your drawing (and probably go back on what I'm going to say) but it would come down to buying the closest thing available in a kit and modifying it to match your drawing. When we see you drawing they're be many suggestions I'm sure.

Ace-Garageguy
Not to be un-heplful, but I think you should really do some reading and research as to everything involved in scratchbuilding. There are a lot of threads on this and other model forums that will be helpful. There are also a variety of materials and techniques you can use, including wood, bondo, sheet-styrene and styrene shapes, clay, fiberglass, and combinations of all of them depending on your talent, skills and abilities. It's impossible to teach you how to scratchbuild a car on one Q&A thread, but all of the materials are available at hobby shops, some hardware stores, and online. Scratchbuilding is also something that folks usually kind of grow into, after they've mastered all of the necessary skills. Have you ever done any heavy custom bodywork or other major modifications on a kit ? For example, the big model is being scratchbuilt with clay over a scratchbuilt wooden chassis armature. cobraman
The back seems to resemble a 57 chevy to me.

MikeyB08
Here is something else you may want to check into. I am also interested in scratch building so I compiled a bunch of information (found within these forums) into one topic for an easy Go-To type deal. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=72172
BKcustoms
I would start with a Superbird and 57 Chevy for the body and maybe a Ford GT for the mid engine chassis and interior.
blunc
this sounds more like a "kitbash" rather than a scratchbuild. it's easier to work with already created basic shapes than to make your own from flat stock (unless your handle is kennb )
Jakezilla bowling
If any of my fellow modelers have any thing that would help me with this build pm me ASAP
