Frank Butler 64 Galaxie

Recommended Posts

Here is a 64 Galaxie I completed. It was supposed to be a quick build, with no engine or chassis work, but I was not at the hobby due to a back injury. Feeling a lot better now, so I am starting my projects again.

I wish I could have got the rear to sit higher, but its only a screw bottom chassis. I used the decals I bought from Rick Lucas. Really good person to deal with. The first set I got were printed on bad paper, but Rick made everything good. I will use his decals again, on my 63 Galaxie, and all of my early 60s Chevys. Thank you for looking.

I got to see a few of those 427s run back in the day. Desert Motors sponsored one that showed up regurally at our local strip. The '64s have always been a favorite of mine, and that looks like a mighty fine job (even with my bias! LOL!) Keep up the good work!

I just seen this 64,I am a big thunderbolt fan and like the old 56 and 57 fairlanes.I am trying to convert a 57 fairlane body to a 55 chevy prostock and use the 427 ford. Thanks for the nice pics and wish you better health.

Thank you...I am back to work without being on "light duty". Now, I have to get my 55 Chevy pro street, 62 Impala pro street, 62 Catalina, and 65 GTO finished. The Catalina, and 55 Chevy are near completion.
