  1. I have a USAC Champ dirt car I am restoring. I need a set of Hilborns for it. At least $1000 now. Ain't cheap.
  2. You can still get a signed copy of his book. The last original hot rodder left.
  3. I have around 350 kits. No time to build currently. I retire in 5 years. I buy what I want, a lot of resin, Etzel,Lance Sellers , also vintage kits. I have some rare stuff also. Once 9 to 5 is over, I build. My wife is younger than I am, so I'll build when she's working . She doesn't complain either.
  4. Not that I know of, I grabbed of google. It's possible though.
  5. I see the complaints about pricing. You keep forgetting licensing fees. Mr.Penske does nothing for free. Own both IMS and IndyCar, he's going to get his cut. The kits could possibly 10% to 15% cheaper without the fees.
  6. Saw this in St.Leon Indiana, on my way to Lawreceburg for a sprint car race Saturday night. 51 or 52 Dodge Business Coupe Convertible. Restored, but not overdone. Original paint color, flathead 6 with dual Stromberg's. Factory no back seat. Neat car.
  7. Not what you expect, but in a very good way. Great looking hot rod.
  8. Got Shaun the Sheep in Toronto while on vacation a couple years ago. It was impossible to find on the American side of the border. I also picked up the tractor kit too.
  9. Funny, if you read the Moebius note, they never say they"re not doing one, just that it isn't right around the corner. Makes you wonder.
  10. I came across this auction today.Cars, models, promos, toys, you name it has it.Once you start looking, it will suck you in. Here's the link.https://kraftauctions.com/?fbclid=IwAR39OMK9Sw72Ev35fqEkVLvl8ZzLihCxdazapRPz5hP2kZBqJWGZUY6-Lkk . Hit auction schedule, it is the 46 anniversary action, in Valparasio , Ind. . If I'm not supposed to do this, I apologize, but it is really worth the look.
  11. Right now the dollar is pounding foreign currencies. Look at HLJ or Plaza Japan. Prices are far cheaper than.anywhere else. Yes shipping is higher, but with what you save price wise, it isn't so bad. Bought some stuff from Plaza a couple weeks ago. Nice price, and quick shipping. I know this can't last forever, so I buy while I can , at these prices.
  12. The Groove Boss was based on a real car. Unfortunately it met its demise at Indianapolis Raceway Park.
  13. Don't ignore those. I once bid $12 on a sprint car drivers uniform , and the driver is in the sprint car hall of fame. When the auction ended, I won. A few of my friends saw it but figured it would go through the roof. I ended up the only bidder.
  14. A little bit of everything. Aircraft, cars, military. If you want a car some are 1/35 scale, some are 1/24. There are a couple Mercedes Benz I want to get. Military style six wheel car. As for model T kits, they have a lot of different variety.
  15. I recieved an ICM Ford speedster today. Great looking little kit. ICM also has a couple other kits I'll be purchasing. Thing is ICM is based in Kiev, Ukraine ,and things aren't going well there. If you're thinking on getting one of their kits, I don't think waiting a while would be a good idea.
  16. I learned to drive in a 1974 Dodge wagon towing a Champ Dirt Car on an open trailer. My father and I worked on the race car at DuQuoin , Illinois that afternoon. It was a 100 mile race in about 105 degree temperature. it was miserable, We stopped at a gas station after leaving the fairgrounds, and my dad climbs in the backseat.I say what are you doing. He tells me go nice and easy, and don't chase the trailer . After about 15 minutes of coaching , he has me set the cruise control , and I go north on 57. He goes to sleep, gets about after three hours of it, and drives from Terre Haute to Indy. That's how I learned to drive.
  17. This guy doesn't want to worry about fees.https://www.ebay.com/itm/1961-Monogram-Forty-Niner-Compact-Model-The-Dragster-NEW-OLD-STOCK-/284487311989?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&fbclid=IwAR1LXprSZ4NpA5x8nzHt2F9CRQ0tsb2swDjPB7h-fHczt08YfxhlkA14-WM
