Dragline Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Another crazy go nuts build John. My builds are starting to grind to a halt as the weather gets nicer but it's nice to others keep on going. Bob
Old Coyote Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Your builds never cease to amaze me John ........... and this one is no different .......... unbelievable work
iBorg Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Now that's something you don't see every day. A blue Swamp Rat. A blue Swamp Rat powered by a turbine. A Garlits car that wasn't successful. (I can only count three or four (the short wheel base car as a prelude to the streamliner, the streamliner, the sidewinder and the turbine). I really appreciate this build. Mike

John Teresi Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 John.....to bring up a really old thread can you give me details on how you made the decals using the prism paper? Thanks! Hi Mike……..thank you for the question……..I bought a prism paper bag at the 99 cent store………I soaked it in warm water to take of the paper backing…….so that it was a little thiner……then I printed the outline of the block lettering onto the prism paper using a laser ink printer…….then I cut each letter out and sprayed the back of each letter with 3m adhiesive glue ……then I placed each letter on the painted body panel one at a time…….then I clear coated over the prism letters…….then I sanded the clear coat with 2000 grit sand paper and gave it another clear coat…….I did this 3 more times before I got the prism letters to look the way I wanted them…….thanks 1
iBorg Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Great help. I'm wanting to do something in the Arlen Ness low rider vein of the 70's but updated a bit to this decade.
