I don't really like the wing type whatever you want to call it on them. The yellow is fine but the other ones look kinda ugly. [Just my opinon]


I think the term you're looking for is "air deflector".

On this subject, I never thought I'd actually see Caterpillar making over-the-road trucks! This is freaky!

Well, they are pre-painted, but exactly how much depends on the edition of the kit. See, there are two versions of these kits: One version has painted box art & one has a photo of the actual kit with some police props. The first version only has a body that's molded in one color, while the second version has a body that has certain parts of the car spray-painted depending on which car it is. For example, the NYPD kit has the roof & roof pillars spray-painted white for the second edition.

Another note: There are some parts differences between the two versions. The first version only has one grille, one type of lightbar and may or may not come with an electric motor, while the second version has two grilles, two types of lightbars & is guaranteed to come with an electric motor.

Hey, are you sure the 1:1 van is an '83? The grille & tail lights look like they're from an '85 van.
