Western Star 4900 FA plow truck
Pete68 replied to BK9300's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Your welcome Brian and your updates look great. -
Last update for today. Completed the Control tower and added it. Added more details to dash including warning decals. Painted PTO knob and picked out the gauges. Made a RD bumper for it by adding some tread plate to the top of a DM bumper. Did a quick mock up to insure fit before painting. More updates tomorrow.

Looks nice Jeff the masking is perfect. This just keeps getting better. -
Made some progress today. First I made a scratch build Operating tower the two pieces of frame I cut off and the Trolley break handle this was ordered this way with out the trolley brake and some other levers I found. Still have to paint and add some more details. I painted the Interior the darker tan Mack had and the seats a light tan. Built the salt spreader and other Dump Bed components. Thanks for looking in.

I agree Ken that’s my favorite look. Going to do the same on my Mack R too like it just rolled off the dealership. That thing is looking great Ken I like the mudflats. -

Hey I was thinking today I have one more place to look Jeff. I’ll go out to the garage in the morning and look. -
Thanks for sharing that Scott would like to have liked seen that. St. Louis Mack had the Mack script like on the side of the hoods in big red letters on the front of the building facing Jefferson st. Dad said in the 50s the show room always had a couple B models in the show room and at night they would have lights on them the way he described made you feel like you were right there. They move from there to Saugett Illinois. My old boss bought 43 brand new CHU613 and 2 CHX613 off the lot from there the year before they moved.
