  1. Gotta luv a VW bus! Nice job with the wheels, can't wait to see it come together!
  2. WOW!!!
  3. Nice Impala!
  4. I think on the Fotki site if you click on the thumbnail, it'll give you the better original image that Alan uploaded to them? The wheels are L to R...Monogram 1/24 Chevy stepside ralley, Revell 1/24 CJ-7, holes modded by drilling, and stock CJ-7 rim. Here's how they look on an old J10 glue bomb: And on a CJ: These BFG mud-terrains measure out to 35", available in nice soft rubber or black resin!
  5. I too can vouch for Alan's work...TOP NOTCH! As soon as you see the way your order is packaged, you'll be impressed! And the quality...did I say TOP NOTCH??? I will be ordering again from Alan, & hope to work with him on a few resin projects in the future!
  6. Wow, that's colorful!
  7. Looks great Ryan! Those Western Bullets look really good on there!
  8. Aaron, since the spray you're using is a lacquer, you may be experiencing "blushing" caused by high humidity. I don't even attempt to spray lacquer if it's more than 50% relative humidity. Easy fix though, just resand with 600 or so & respray in low humidity! Not sure if clearing over it will fix it, I have always resprayed the color. Hope this helps.
  9. Welcome to the site from one newbie to another! The Impala's a beauty! Love them W engines!
  10. Charlie, I'm building the barn doors myself...like you said, aftermarket support is just about non-existent for HHRs...1:1 and in scale! Hopefully this will change the scale part somewhat one of these days...this is a rare 1/26 scale Road Ripper tether remote control toy that was made in small numbers in 2006. Working on it slowly to get it ready for casting...lot-o-work to go yet!
  11. X2! Get him out, things would be better. Things should improve with Todt in charge of the FIA, but these constant rule changes are crazy (although last season was the most exciting in years!)
  12. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Yeah, my Impala is like a brother to me...my Dad bought it new! Never been hit or driven in winter. Charlie, I have other exterior shots of the car, but haven't taken any interior or under-hood pics. It won't see daylight again now until spring Here's a great resource for Impala pics though... http://www.impalass427.com/ Here's what's slowly happening to my HHR: shaved taillights & rear wiper... barn doors in progress...
  13. Very nice Scout! Awesome looking corrections & details! These used to be everywhere in western PA when I was a kid in the seventies...too bad they rusted away
  14. Very cool build! I'm a bit partial as I own a 1:1 J20 pickup
  15. Hi All, My name is Jeff and I just found this great site! Been building kits on & off for about 35 years now Sure wish some of my friends from a few "other" sites would have told me about this one! Oh well, I hope to contribute & learn from all of the experience & talent here
