  1. Will trade the following items as a package. If interested please PM. Lost Drag Strips Volume I Lost Drag Strips Volume II Be There! a CD of old drag strip commercials narrated by Steve Evans DVD 40TH Thunderbolt Reunion by Bee On Video Photo CD The Birth of Factory Drag Racing 1962-72 Dick Brannan Looking for Grumpys Toys book by Doug Boyce or two AMT NASCAR Thunderbirds
  2. This was mentioned on the Dyno Don Facebook page as rumored to be in the works for 2019 along with Grumpy's 1972 Vega. Anyone hear anything on this?
  3. From the Don Nicholson Facebook page this is the box art for the Dyno Don 1965 Comet kit.
  4. At one time there were two Chucks making decals. Don't know which one made the Ramcharger decals. There were two different ones. One for the Revell Mc Ewen Duster and one for a resin body. They are very nice. Just in case you don't have it see if you can find the Fall 2013 issue of Elapsed Times Magazine. It has a great six page article on the restored car.
  5. It is in fact an AMT body just like the post says it is. Here it is with the hood from the AMT altered wheelbase kit along with the body from that kit and an AMT 1966 Mustang Coupe body.Notice they are all the same size.
  6. I've never built a NASCAR model before. Somewhere I managed to acquire a couple of AMT thunderbirds so I thought I'd give in a try. I have a couple of quick questions. What year are the AMT T-Bird kits? Are all the engines aluminum in color? Am I correct to assume that NASCAR does not allow chrome rims? Lastly do you scuff up the tires like you would a drag slick or do you leave them as they are? Thank you in advance for any info.
  7. 1965/66 (don't know which) Mustang Fastback body as shown. Has grille, headlights, front bumper and tail lights. Rear bumper is broken. I have a spare. Looking for AMT NASCAR Thunderbirds.
  8. gtx6970 Don had two 1965 Comets. One was driven by Eddie Schartman. It had a 427 wedge and never had a tube axle. Don's car the red one was delivered with a 427 SOHC. When Don altered the wheelbase and added injectors he also added a tube axle. The Beswick car never had injectors. It was turned over to Paul Rossi in mid season and ran carbs.
  9. I would like to see some good injector stacks. The ones in the AMT parts pack look good but they are too skinny and not tall enough. Same with the ones by Parks. The stacks from Speed City Resin just don't look right.
  10. I have the following items for trade. Lower 48 only please. Polar Lights Gas Ronda Mustang funny car, sealed. Revell Tasca Ford Thunderbolt, sealed. Revell Gas Ronda Thunderbolt, open complete WANTED AMT 1966 Fairlane 427 Fred Cady Bob Ford 1964 Mustang Coupe Decal SMBC Gapp & Roush decal Grumpys Toys book Speed City Resin Mustang Coupe body AMT Bill NASCAR Thunderbird
  11. Thanks for the info. I think I am going to use the NASCAR T Bird engine. I am not all that comfortable working with resin.
  12. I have enough odd parts to build a couple of MPC Pinto pro stocks but I'm not real happy with the engine that came in the kit. Can anyone suggest a kit that has a half decent 351 engine? All of the Ford engines in my parts box are big blocks.
  13. I have a Polar Lights Gas Ronda Mustang funny car and Revell Tasca Ford 1964 Fairlane Thunderbolt. Both sealed. Looking for MPC Firefighter Mustang II pro stock and AMT 1966 Fairlane 427. USA only please.
  14. I have a sealed Polar Lights Gas Ronda Mustang funny car. I'm looking for a MPC Firefighter Mustang II Pro Stock. USA only please.
  15. Getting ready to start on a Polar Lights Mustang funny car. I seem to have heard or read somewhere that the chassis needs to shortened a small amount in order for the wheelbase to be correct. Does anyone know how much it needs to be shortened?
