  1. I have worked out the mudguards and subframe. With that the catwalk is integrated. Parts and how things go together. First the mudguards. and then the catwalk. There is more to come... Hessel
  2. With some days off I was able to do some work. The motor has been painted, gold off course and with some chroom parts left. Finishing touch still needs to be done. The wheels are painted and look OK. The chassis is ready for some paint but I could not resist to put it on the wheels to show you. I also altered the hood. In real the left and right bonnet can be opened separate so I changed that in the kit. Photo's..... That's it for now. I wish you all a good final chapter of this year and will get back to you in 2015. Thanks, Hessel
  3. No plans for a load yet. There might be a detachable gooseneck trailer behind it.... but this one has to be ready first.
  4. The first pic of the wheels are the rear ones. The second pic are the front. Photo's are always welcome all-tough I have many myself. They are from the internet.
  5. Something I'n working on now. First a photo of the original. As base I'm using the reissued Mack DM800 by King models. The wheels were designed by me and 3D printed at Shapeways. The chassis is ready for paint. The front axle was shortened and fixed a little forward to make the bigger front wheels fit. The engine is the good old V8 Mack. there is more to come. Hessel
  6. Quite a build you're working on. The Mitsuwa/Fujimi kit is a fine one. Hessel
  7. Are these trailer that long or is it just wishful. I'm sorry to ask for I'm from Europe and we have some other regulation over here. The trailer is looking nice. Hessel the Netherlands
  8. The link mentioned is the following: http://www.truckin24.de Claus Lassen developed the 'Can Do' wrecker kit for Revel Germany. He also wrote a book about wrecker trucks from the US. With that he give possibilities of what kit to use fro building a particular wrecker. The book is in German language but with a lot of beautiful photo's nice to have. He also wanted reveal to make the kit more accurate but the company thought the kit would be to expensive when all the tooling was to be made. The hood is wrong and also the engine. If you sent him an e-mail I'm sure he will respond. Hessel
  9. This kit is a reissue of the old Mitsuwa kits. There were plans to maken four truck models: a Mitsubishi Fuso, a Hino Super Dolphin, a Nissan Diesel and an Isuzu. Only the first two mentioned were realized and off course the car transporter. The trucks were available as a tractor or dump truck. The car transporter was available separate and with the Fuso or Hino included. There was also a very rare kit called 'Art Dumptruck' It was a Japanese style mock up. This kit has several colored lenses and a completely chromed cab. I own one of them....as all the other ones. The Fuso was build as a dump truck and the Hino as a tractor. There or still several in my collection waiting to be build. Look at our archive for a complete list of the kits: http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truckkit_instructions/mitsuwa/ I don't know about what kits Fujimi will bring now. The build of Jonathan looks very nice. Hessel
  10. 3D printed wheels would also do this model right. I have developed some wheels for a DM800 which I will start in time. Hessel
  11. Put a mirror behind it and your collection doubles ;-) Hessel
  12. I guess we work the same area. I would not cast them in resin. Makes them heavy and more difficult to handle. They look good though. Hessel
  13. With our club we have several types of rims for sale. Italeri tires will fit them. With some drawing I came up with this. If you can give me the measurements of the holes I can make them better. It can be 3D printed at a reasonable price. The surface is not entire flat but with some paint on it that problem can be solved. Hessel
  14. With our club we have several types of rims for sale. Italeri tires will fit them. With some drawing I came up with this. If you can give me the measurements of the holes I can make them better. The hub can be made as well if you give me some directions. It can be 3D printed at a reasonable price. The surface is not entire flat but with some paint on it that problem can be solved. Hessel
  15. CTM makes a very nice Photo etch update set for the Lonestar and for the Prostar. Look at the following site: http://www.czechtruckmodel.com Hessel
  16. With the right info, photo's and dimensions, I can make a lot of different rims and tires. All is 3D printed (also the tires !!) Hessel the Netherlands http://www.dutchmodeltruckclub.com
  17. I can maken them 3D printed. They would fit Italeri tires. Sent PM for more info Hessel the Netherlands
  18. I could give it a try in 3D printing. I would have a look at the cost. Sent a PM if your interested. Hessel the Netherlands
  19. A link on our website to the range of kits Mitsuwa issued. There were several kinds of box-arts http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truckkit_instructions/mitsuwa/ Hessel
  20. In fact there was also a Hino version. Mitsuwa had plans for a Isuzu and a Nissan Diesel as well. They never made it to a model. I do not no if the moulds are made.... The dump truck was, as mentioned, available as a "art-dump-truck" I own one of these and it is a rare thing. I bought it in Japan for over ten years ago. The cab is completely chroom and there are several badges of transparent colored 'lights' Hessel
  21. The truck is now finished. Because this is the original issue the big decals were ruined. I try to get them somewhere. With this my collection is now three of these 1926 Mack trucks. The 'dump truck' the 'stake truck' and now this 'tank truck' I decided to put them together to make some photos of the trio. I hope you enjoyed this topic. I will get back to you with more models Hessel
  22. I have build the Oriental Express build and this one in stock (sorry guys not for sale) The base of this kit is the same as the K100 kits from Revell. You just need to cut the chassis and build in an extra axle. It is a nice kit though. I put the front wheels that Revell used for their 'Can do' wrecker and 'Bill signs' Peterbilt on it. Hessel
  23. Try drawing them in 3D and have them printed. I have done that for big rigs. Hessel the Netherlands
  24. As I said the kit is fairly detailed. Some lighting to be fixxed. With a small lesson from my friend I have now dry brushed some parts. The result looks fine by me. And with some minor things to be done it is almost finished. The next post will probably the final one. Hessel
