gator52 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) Lindberg's 1/25 1996-97 Crown Vic, backdated to a '92. Ford CV experts will note that I compromised a bit on the backdating around the taillights/rear bumper, but it looks more like a 92 than it did when I started, and it was a fun project. Maybe on the next one I'll aim for a more authentic conversion on the back end! Thanks for looking, Jonah Edited March 14, 2016 by gator52
Agent G Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Good job. That early tail light treatment isn't that easy to replicate. Don't ask how I know....................G
Foxer Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 That's a nice job on the conversion ... a good looking cruiser there and a credible '92 Vic.I'm still working on the '92 Crown Vic my Dad had and was fun making this short lived version. Of course, I saw an All American Models resin '92 on ebay and almost bid ridiculous sums! That sure was a beautiful body Art did.
bbowser Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Great model! I really like the paint/decal scheme. Not your average looking PD squad.
av405 Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Very clean. I love those late 80's/early 90's color/decal combos. They were unique, unlike many of today's police cars.
Chuck Most Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I like it. Another member (foxer) is doing a pretty convincing '92 CV conversion. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/19975-92-crown-victoria-conversion-from-a-1997/?page=1
gator52 Posted March 15, 2016 Author Posted March 15, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the comments and the info; I didn't know there'd been a resin kit. Foxer, your conversion puts me to shame! Nice job!Jonah Edited March 15, 2016 by gator52
