Dragline
Superb build. That's the way to build a nasty Hot Rod.
665@213
Thanks guys! My inspiration for this build were these 2 trucks. I didn't want custom wheels, I think the steel wheels flow better with the overall look.
horsepower
I like the high dollar parking brake on the bottom one ?. You'd think what with all the money the have evidently invested that a working parking brake wouldn't be a problem, or at the minimum a chrome parking chock. horsepower
Really like the four link setup and independent front suspension, where did you source the pieces from for the front suspension and did it require a complete front clip on the frame, and if so where did it come from. Now I'm waiting for a GM, or MoPar equivalent from you, you do know that you have to give equal time during an election year don't you. ? 665@213
Lol I noticed that, too. I would like to think that it was corrected sometime after that picture was taken. But, who knows. After all it is a TV truck. I'm sure the owner has it straight by now.

The front suspension came from a Revell Ford Taurus NASCAR kit. Just the crossmember and control arms were used. I mated those to the 69 F100 frame with little modifications. I may still have a pic or 2 of it in progress. As for the GM counterpart, I picked up a Revell 66 C10 shortbed just yesterday. Modlbldr
Great work on this. Just the look I like. You said that the engine is from the 2013 Mustang Boss 302 kit? Is that the green and black box art kit? The reason I ask is that I am looking for that exact engine but that doesn't look like the engine they show on the box. I'm confused.....Later-

665@213
Thanks, Tom! The engine is from the Boss 302 kit with the green & black box art. However, the intake cover is from the 2014 Mustang GT kit, the one that is orangish, yellowish color on the box. I didn't want to use the engine from that kit because it uses metal axles, and has holes in it for the axle to run through, and I didn't like that. But other than that, the engine is the same. I didn't go with the Boss intake because it has a flat spot on top of it where its clearanced for the strut tower bar. You can also get the engine from the Revell kit of the pre painted Mustang GT. Modlbldr
Thanks. Im glad you told me about the flat spot on the 2013 engine. Good to know. Now I have two kits to pick up.Later-

66belair
Thanks for the suspension info, I have been wondering how to lower the suspension on one of these, I've heard you can use the Foose kit for a chassis set up. Love the color by the way.
