FordRodnKustom Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 (edited) Got this old Ford done today. That resin body was a real "treat" but I liked the chop so I made it and eveything else fit. I'm still coughing from the resin dust....LOL As always comments, suggestions and discussions are welcome. Edited October 20, 2016 by FordRodnKustom
AC Norton Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Ron, you always knock us out with something extra cool....and DISASTER,,,,,you've done it again.....great piece.....the Ace....
CometMan Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Nice job, Ron. Too bad they didn't make a more accurate '39 for the stock builders, but as a custom, it looks good!
Modelbuilder Mark Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 cool looking ride, I like the bars rim look against that silver
Intmd8r Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 Glad to see you stick with the resin body-the results were worth it
Chuck Most Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Just plain awesome. The gunmetal color is perfect for it.
FordRodnKustom Posted October 22, 2016 Author Posted October 22, 2016 Thanks all! I like the open steelies best too but it was suggested to me that spun aluminum disc would look better than the chrome moons. What ya'll think?
CometMan Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Ron, I would go with your original idea! The chrome moons would give it a more vintage look, and just a touch of shine against the gray.
AC Norton Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 I like the black steelies, or the chrome moons.....either are just right, IMO.....the Ace...

Thanks and I agree. I've already changed them back. I appreciated all the replies on this build. I know my style isn't everyone's "cup o tea" but I just enjoy these old AMT kits. I grew up glue bombing them together and I see no reason to change now!

With the chop and the rake it already brings the salt flats to mind. The wheel discs just finish it off. Edited October 24, 2016 by Jantrix

wayne swayze Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 I like your approach to this build! Ì kiñda like the steelies too. The original AMT release of the tudor was the first model that I built multiples of !! My buddy Ed loved the coupe. Didn't think there were any left after we went shopping!
