DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 18, 2017 Author Posted November 18, 2017 Wow, that´s awesome! I like what I see here. Thanks for the kind words!!! A little more progress. landman Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 If I didn't live so far, I'd come over for some plumbing lessons.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 18, 2017 Author Posted November 18, 2017 If I didn't live so far, I'd come over for some plumbing lessons. I don't know if you could learn much from me, but I'm sure I could learn a lot at your engine building shop.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 19, 2017 Author Posted November 19, 2017 If I didn't live so far, I'd come over for some plumbing lessons.Pat, where did you get the hinges for your CNT Dodge fenders? These fenders hinge in a similar way. I've considered just making them removable instead of hinging them, but we'll see.
landman Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 England I think. I'll look it up when I get home. We're away babysitting our grandchildren. Should be back home tomorrow.

Should be back home tomorrow . Thanks Pat! I went ahead and tried my luck at scratch building some hinges. They're not perfect, but they'll do: IMG_6475 by Brian Smith, on Flickr IMG_6476 by Brian Smith, on Flickr IMG_6500 by Brian Smith, on Flickr IMG_6502 by Brian Smith, on Flickr IMG_6505 by Brian Smith, on Flickr IMG_6506 by Brian Smith, on Flickr I also made a new air filter assembly. The one that came with the cab was a little large for my taste. There were many styles used these trucks, so I went with a smaller style. landman Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 OOps! Forgot to look for the hinges. Nice job you did with yours.
Rick315-8 Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Very nice work Brian,...your air lines look great, I like the brackets you made up to mount on the diff housing.......your fender hinges worked out perfect also....the "home stretch" is getting a lot closer !
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 26, 2017 Author Posted November 26, 2017 Thanks Guys!!! I hope that I am on the home stretch! The back windows were two different sizes and a little large in the casting. I redid them. They are not perfect, but I think they look better. I was able to get some paint on today. I'm really happy with the paint. It looks like a truck now. Some window glass, interior work and a few more details and this one will be done. redneckrigger Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 That is a superb build, Brian, and not one seen very often, which makes it all that much more interesting! Is the engine a DAN Models resin?

DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 29, 2017 Author Posted November 29, 2017 Thanks for the kind words everyone!!! I'm wanting to put this one behind me. My decals were old and totally fell apart in water, so I have some coming from Jerry. I finished the interior today. I decided to cast some Tac-o-graphs/ Speed-o-graphs since I seem to be using them and I don't know of a source for them. I'll post some pictures under glass when weather permits.
