Pete68 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) Here’s one I’ve been working on for a few years. Edited January 22, 2023 by Pete68 2
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I'm looking forward to this one! The smaller scale will be interesting. I built the wrecker when I was 12, but I don't remember much about the kit. 1
Canso65 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I'm looking forward to seeing this as well Lee. I've seen these kits around but haven't bought one because I have never seen one built.Welcome to TAT 2017.
cowboy rich Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 NICE I didn't even know that tractor was around. Interested in this build for sure. I have trouble with 1/32 these days.

kilrathy10 Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 What a cool little model.....Looking good....
gatorincebu Posted January 16, 2017 Posted January 16, 2017 Cool project. Never built any of those kits. Good size for display space. But way to small for my big clumsy fingers. Be Well Gator
lapazleo Posted January 17, 2017 Posted January 17, 2017 These were great kits I wish AMT would have kept going with them.

Pete68 Posted January 22, 2023 Author Posted January 22, 2023 Here’s some updates on this build. The truck is almost done then on to the trailer. 2 1
Rockford Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 (edited) It will be great to see this come together. It's been waiting a long time. It's looking really good. Great job you've done. I love the box art on this kit. I painted mine in that scheme when I built it all those years ago and still would love to do a 359 in those colours. When I get around to my Snaptite 359 I'll do it like that I think. Edited January 23, 2023 by Rockford Text corrected 2

The decals are Black Red instead of the Brown and Red. You should build that scheme in 1/32 1
Pete68 Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 I got quite a bit done today on the Pete. Finished the interior, painted the sleeper and Engine added the bumper and did a mock up. The steering wheel I sanded it down to a more realistic look. 2
Rockford Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Looks great. Correct white on the engine too. What a great little kit this is. I notice you're not using the kit wheels...? 1

Pete68 Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 While letting this set up on my other build I thought it was time to get this one done. Tonight I added the cab/hood to the frame as well as the sleeper. I also added the stacks and visor which I will paint White. I hope in the next couple day this will be in the “Under Glass” section. Enjoy the pics. 5
Rockford Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 That's a stand-out rig right there. Looks great as a daycab too! Is the trailer still to follow? 2
Biggu Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 I agree with Steve. It looks really smart as a day cab , and these were great kits, I never managed to get one and always had my eye on the wrecker …. A Masterful job on this one Lee, very sharp ! I love it ! 1
