Bricksonwheels Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Its been a while since I build a car, and posted it here, but something new is ready, so I thought I share it. This time it's a Duesenberg, once more fully made out of genuine LEGO bricks. My LEGO model is based on the SJ type Dual Cowl Pheaton, by LaGrande from 1935. It is a one-off build in scale 1:8.5 (derived from the availlable wheel size that fitted this built), and consists of roughly 5000 parts. I have put in a lot of detail, like the engine (it was always painted green in a Duesenberg as far as I know), and added some retro-chromed parts as well. These parts have been industrially plated on the original ABS plastic bricks. I made two roof setups to show the car open and closed. The doors can be opened, and the hood can be removed.
Bobdude Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 That is so cool! You can make anything out of Lego bricks if you can imagine it.Thank you for posting.
StockBoresMe Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 This is true art work. You sir are one talented individual.
bbowser Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Amazing! I had no idea Lego's were this versatile.
Foxer Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 This is amazing! There are so many new shapes since my kids (and I) played with them. Very nice job!
espo Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 I didn't realize at first that you used Legos. That doesn't look like anything I could have built with the Legos of my youth.
towman1271 Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Don't know how you do it, but you continue to impress.. Super nice
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 That's wild. Certainly not what I expected. Beautifully made, very original.
