majel
This is a box stock build of the Revell 53/54 Chevy gasser. There is very little detail to this model so I didn't want to put a lot of effort into trying to make it more than it is. The color is Tamiya gunmetal and the decals are a combination of box and Slixx. Either I messed up cutting out the wheel wells or the whole frame sits kind of wonky. I used bare metal foil on drivers side and rear window, and a Molotow chrome pen on passenger side and windshield trim. Wanted to try the pens on something, found them easy to use and i think the chrome looks ok. All in all for a shelf model it's OK.
High octane
Your gasser looks great Jim, 'cept the wheels are not "period correct" for a 1961 AHRA D/G Class Champion.
dragmodels44
Looks very nice, love the old gassers!

geetee66
Looks good your paint looks like it went down well. I got one of those Molotow pens. They're great, aren't they?
majel
I was impressed at how easy the pens are to use, how well they flow, and how good the chrome looks. They will definitely serve a purpose where using bare metal foil would be difficult.

GaryR
Steel wheels or the tires and wheels from the OLD Revell SWC Willys are period correct. The tires are from 1970 0r so. Otherwise, a GREAT JOB on a finicky fussy kit!
El Caballo
There was a time you would see cars jacked up on both ends running around on the street in the 70's.
