FINALLY! Finished one. '57 Chevy Gasser.

Recommended Posts

Well, almost finished. Lost the vent windows, so I'll have to make some....posed slightly opened.  Also lost the rear end/springs. Spare parts to the rescue.

Was attempting an "old school" look.  The body had been painted long ago, then I decided to "age" it some.  Chassis and interior was built months ago.  Actual aluminum tube front axle on  ? leaf springs. Wheel/tire combo was a spare parts "given" given.

Engine was a toss up since I had sold 30 years worth of spare parts on Ebay not long ago. Didn't count on building any more cars. Managed to put together enough for this one. Block/4 speed was from the kit. Heads from the AMT '55 Cameo. Blower/intake/magneto/ valve cover...unknown. Had no fender well headers but managed to cobble a respective set  of between frame together. Induction went back and forth between Hilborn fuel injection or blown. Was to lazy to cut aluminum tube and plumb for Hilborn. Anyway, here it is.  Next up is a '48 Ford, '53 Stude, or '41 Plymouth along the same lines....
