ranma Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 I bought the new reissue of the '59 Imperial, and seeing the shallow interior there was no way I would build it as a convertible. Instead I bought a AMT '57 Chrysler 300-C , and used the chassis ect to improve the '59 Imperial. Being that the car would now have an engine I decided to open the hood as well. The '57 also gave the inner fenders ect to the '59 Imperial as well. I used the dash of the '59 but with the steering parts from the '57 added to it.
Scalper Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Nice conversion with the kits used. Very nice classic
Classicgas Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Very cool. We're the parts from the 57 a direct fit or did you modify them?
Phildaupho Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Nice conversion. Have plans to do the same someday. While travelling in Cuba I stopped to look at a very well preserved Imperial beside the highway. The owner asked if I had any spark plugs !!
dougp Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Great build and conversion. I remember those beauties in my younger days. They gave the meaning to the term 'land yacht'.
