jjsipes
Looking at getting a model of the 53 Corvette and was wondering, whose kit is better? I know the Revell/Monogram is molded in White and Red and the AMT will be Grey. Who is better detailed?
MrObsessive
I have to give the nod to Monogram as to my sight theirs is a bit better proportioned. AMT's at least the ones I've seen, never seem to 'sit' right.......just a bit too high. A turnoff for some may be that the Monogram is 1/24 while AMT's is 1/25 scale. I built one of these years ago, and found the detail to be adequate. I do like the raised top the kit gives you although I believe you get one in the AMT kit also. I don't fret about scale as long as it looks right. Of course, this is subjective and others POV's will differ. Snake45
I did the AMT snapper and was VERY pleased with the result. It doesn't have an up-top, though, and the top from the glue kit doesn't fit without tweaking (which I'm attempting to do). If the Monogram being 1/24 is a deal-killer for you. IMHO the AMT snapper looks better than the glue kit.
SCRWDRVR
The Revell 53 roadster is one of my current builds and I’ve been very happy with it, also gives you the option of making it a
