miatamadman
Here's something we haven't seen offered in a very long time on Mustangs; T-Tops. I think this looks pretty darn cool! What do you guys think? I think this ones also going to get the shaker hood treatment. Edited September 25, 2008 by miatamadman

miatamadman
I really have no idea yet as to what color it will be. Any suggestions?
kerc
Wonderful idea! I would keep it stock-looking...Make it look like a factory option. So, check out the Mustang color list...

miatamadman
I got some more work done on the Mus-T-Ang. The T-roof has been finesed and the weatherstrip added. I also cut open the hood for the scoop, added the trim around the hood openning and sprayed a fresh coat of primer on the body. For the color coat, I'm leaning more and more towards yellow. I still have a little cleanup work to do here. I'm not sure as to what I'm going to do with the trim at the b-pillar. Should I continue it over the roof, fill it in or just leave it as is? Nick F40
Ohhh man, this is THE coolest new Mustang I have seen yet, the wheels looks incredible!!! PAINT IT BLUUUE!
whale392
Cool roof treatment, Cars and Concepts would be proud. As for color; Sonic Blue, Mineral Gray Metallic, something along those lines would look good on that body.........either that or Redfire Pearl. randx0
looks great ! some rear window louvers might be neat .and a nice contrast if you aim to use yellow.
miatamadman
I decided on bright yellow. I just happened to have a can of 2003 Mazda Speedyellow in the garage, so thats what I used . Interior will be black as well as some black stripes on the hood and the rear spoiler will be black as well.

miatamadman
I'm on a roll with this Mustang! Check out these clear removable roof panels I just made. I made these by vacume forming the section of roof that was removed for the T-top conversion. After some filing and fitting they fit pretty good. The black frame is painted on the underside of the glass. Here you can see the clear plastic before I removed from the roof panel This is what it looked like before I cut out the panels. Here is the panel in rough form prior to final fitting. The finished panels with the painted frame And here they are installed
miatamadman
I got the rolling stock mounted and the engine somewhat done. Today I went ahead and applied some semi-gloss to the hood, which by the way I will be redoing since I'm not real pleased with the way it turned out. The trunk lid will also be semi-gloss black as well. I also might make use of a set of Keith Marks's Mustang Twister decals for the side. lizardlust
The T-Tops appear to be factory engineered, Zoli - masterful job!! Your method of vac-forming the clear top inserts is neat as well - whether I could ever pull it off remains to be seen, however...
MrObsessive
Zoli, that's lookin' great man! The Mustang roof line seems to be a natural for a T-Top or a lift off Targa. It would be neat to see Ford offer that for the 1:1. Keep up the good work!
cruz
WOW!!! I like what your'e doing w/ this, pretty unique!!!!!
Nick F40
Now this is really really REALLY cool Zoli! now all you need to do is paint your Miata in that yellow
white00gt
Car looks great, really think the T-tops set the car off kind of like the new glassback roof that is offered as an option on the saleen mustangs and can be added by several aftermarket companies without voiding the warranties.......Can't wait to see this one finished
outlaw035
love it....the color... the wheels.... the t tops look grt8....neal
Peter Lombardo
Your tee is tops.I know, corny, but very nice workmanship....Is Ford watching this??? They should be.
James Flowers
I love what you have done to the Mustang. Just one little thing . I think the t-tops have too much of a black boarder on them. Ford should due t-tops again. Keep up the great work.
miatamadman
Got the interior finished. Pretty much built straight from the box with the exception of the flocking and the addition of the seatbelts and buckles. Since the roof will be open, I just had to add a little extra detail. I decided to try something different with the taillights, so I painted the recessed portions on the lenses semi-gloss black.
just_a_doodz
very nice build.I think the tail-lights look great not to mention the t-tops.Very clean building there.Keep it up and finish that pony!!
conor1148
i wish my custom mustang turned out as great as yours did, mine was a regular 07 mustang with the engine replaced with a viper v10 and the whole front bumper replaced with a vipers front bumper, it looked awful but for my first chop i thought it was pretty dang good. it would have looked TONS better if i had taken more time and not screwed up the hood (it doesnt sit right AT ALL)
