I found this in a box of old model cars that my Dad built in the early '90s. This is the 1989 release 1:43 scale AMT kit. It sure is a survivor - it's seen everything from bitter cold Winters sitting on a shelf in a garage, to sweltering hot Summers packed away in a box in an attic.

The last pic includes a ruler to show how small it is.

Nice to see a 1/43 kit once in a while.  Not sure when I built these - probably 10-25 years ago.  There were many version but the best ones had the chrome parts.  For some reason these are not cheap on Ebay compared to the 289 Cobra kit which is a lot better kit.

Nice builds, Rex! I agree - these kits sure hold their value.
