tbill Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 You better get them in line, my elves are about to overtake everything and go on a rampage of plastic slinging......
Tesla Posted August 28, 2019 Posted August 28, 2019 I knew you'd come up with a solution after some head scratching and rummaging through the parts box...looks great!
Lowlife ! ! Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Very impressive so far, I like to see people scratch building parts and you've built most of the truck this way ! ! Looking forward to more !
gotnitro? Posted September 11, 2019 Author Posted September 11, 2019 Well without further ado, I've been puttering w the 361 and finally have a roller !!! Using 22 inch 2 hole budds all around from moluminum, and awesome drive tires from GW trucks . The front steers came from the KW snappy kit.. The dump box received a bunch of eye candy , attaching a section of small diameter rod to the bed side , basswood top boards, and thin sheet stock for the " rear trough ". The tabs are for the door cylinder.
gotnitro? Posted September 11, 2019 Author Posted September 11, 2019 (edited) The 361 is mainly gonna be curbside since the hood is cast w the cab. Not wanting another multi yr project, I'm just dropping a basic Nhc 250 Cummins and running the exterior pipes . One detail this 361 had was what I'm calling a resonator above muffler w visable welds...well I had to model that !! A leftover strip of CTM welds from my pneumatic trailer to the rescue. Heres the actual truck, you can see the " can "above the muffler. thanks for watching Jeff Edited September 11, 2019 by gotnitro? Added pic

I figured adding those small welds would make an otherwise boring muffler stand out . Hopefully the operators notice them lol 1 hour ago, jacobus said: thats just a great one like the things you are doing right now [ specialy the muffler , great work ] i have somewhere in my stash that transkit from aitm and now its very hard to start with it [ youre fould , LOL ] i want first al the others projects to finishd keep up this nice build , i wil follow jacobus Thanks Jacobus 1 hour ago, Ken Gilkeson said: what a great build Thanks Ken ! Vince66 Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 It's all the little details that make it come to life looking really nice
gotnitro? Posted September 19, 2019 Author Posted September 19, 2019 Thanks ! I had a paint mishap, totally my fault, causing the parts a swim in the pond....getting in a hurry sucks. I had cab primed w light gray duplicolor and box was raw plastic...color wasnt even between them. The cabs cleaned up and ready for BOTH to get primer ...thanks for being patient.
gotnitro? Posted September 19, 2019 Author Posted September 19, 2019 Heres what they looked like before swimming...really inspired me seeing everything together though. Definitely has the work truck appearance I wanted
Vince66 Posted September 21, 2019 Posted September 21, 2019 Very very nice I like how this is coming along.
